It's most likely that the reinstallation is not complete - you need to install either the chipset drivers or USB drivers for your motherboard. Find My Computer icon, right click it, select properties. Select Hardware tab at top, Device Manager button. Is there any yellow exclamation or question marks or green question marks or a listing called Other Devices? If so, you need to get the rest of the required software to make everything work properly.
